Alibaba B2B trade follows a pattern: the EU buyer sends an RFQ, you respond with product specs, pricing, MOQ and certifications. Until now, certifications meant CE (EMC/RED/LVD), RoHS and REACH. From 2027, CRA documentation joins the list. Article 19.2 of Regulation (EU) 2024/2847 requires EU importers to verify that the manufacturer has drawn up technical documentation under Annex VII, that the conformity assessment has been carried out, that CE marking is affixed and that the product is accompanied by user information per Annex II. If your RFQ response includes CRA documentation, you are ahead of 95% of Alibaba suppliers. CRACheck generates 8 PDF documents. 15-25 minutes. €149 per product. Browser-side.

The Alibaba supplier who responds to an RFQ with CRA documentation attached closes the deal.
The Alibaba supplier who responds to an RFQ with CRA documentation attached closes the deal. The one who says "we will provide later" loses it.
Article 19 of Regulation (EU) 2024/2847 obliges the EU importer to verify that the manufacturer has produced technical documentation. If you cannot provide it, the importer cannot fulfil their verification obligation. They will buy from a supplier who can. CRA documentation is not your legal obligation as a non-EU manufacturer — but it is a commercial requirement to keep your EU customers.
Your existing CE certificate covers EMC, RED and/or LVD. Regulation (EU) 2024/2847 adds a separate cybersecurity compliance layer. The EU importer must verify CRA-specific documentation. Your CE certificate from an EMC/RED lab does not mention Regulation (EU) 2024/2847. Add CRA documentation to your certification package.
Correct — as a non-EU manufacturer, you are not directly subject to EU market surveillance enforcement. But your EU buyer is. Article 18 allows you to appoint an authorised representative in the EU. And practically, if your EU buyer cannot verify CRA documentation, they cannot import your product. The documentation is commercially necessary.
Your EU Alibaba buyer expects CRA documentation alongside CE certificates. CRACheck generates the 8-document package you attach to your RFQ response.
