Terms and conditions

General contracting conditions for CRACheck, in accordance with Spanish Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 and Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights.

1. Provider

2. Subject matter

These Terms govern the purchase of usage licences for CRACheck, a generator of technical documentation for products with digital elements under Regulation (EU) 2024/2847 (Cyber Resilience Act).

3. Licences

Each generation produces a ZIP with 8 PDF documents. The data entered by the user is processed and the documents are generated in the user’s browser; SolidwareTools does not receive or store that data. The licence key is verified with Gumroad at each generation, so an internet connection is required.

The downloaded documents belong to the buyer and can be used without time limit, also after the licence has been used up or has expired.

4. Price and payment

Prices are shown on the product page before purchase. One-time payment, no subscription or automatic renewal. Payment is processed by Gumroad, Inc., which acts as Merchant of Record and is responsible for collecting the payment, issuing the invoice and applying the taxes of the buyer’s jurisdiction.

5. Purchase process

  1. The user reviews the product information and, optionally, takes the free scope test.
  2. The purchase button leads to Gumroad, where the user completes the payment.
  3. Gumroad sends the licence key by email.
  4. The user enters the key in the generator, completes the form and downloads the ZIP.

6. Right of withdrawal

CRACheck is digital content delivered by generating the documents in the buyer’s browser. Under Article 103(m) of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 (Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU), the right of withdrawal does not apply once the supply has begun with the buyer’s prior express consent and acknowledgement of losing the right. Activating the licence and generating the documents constitutes that start of supply. See the Refund policy.

7. Intellectual property

The generator, templates, document formats, source code and brands remain the intellectual property of the owner. The licence grants the right to use the generator under these Terms and the ownership of the documents generated. The licence may not be resold, and the generator may not be redistributed.

8. Liability

CRACheck structures the documentation according to Regulation (EU) 2024/2847; its legal references are reviewed against EUR-Lex every 15 days. The content of each dossier comes from the data entered by the user, who remains responsible for its accuracy and for compliance with the applicable obligations, including conformity assessment by a notified body where required. Acceptance of a specific dossier by a market surveillance authority or a notified body is not guaranteed. CRACheck does not provide legal advice. The maximum liability of SolidwareTools is limited to the amount paid for the licence.

9. Technical support

Technical support is provided by email at hello@solidwaretools.com for software failures and questions about how the generator works. It does not include legal advice or review of the content entered.

10. Updates

When Regulation (EU) 2024/2847 or its delegated or implementing acts change, the generator is updated. Updates are free; the latest version is always used when generating with a valid licence.

11. Complaints and applicable law

Complaints can be sent to hello@solidwaretools.com or to the consumer authority of the buyer’s place of residence. These Terms are governed by Spanish law; disputes are submitted to the courts of the consumer’s place of residence (Article 90.2 of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007).
