Your European buyer is asking for cybersecurity documentation — and the cost at TÜV India or Bureau Veritas starts at ₹4 lakh per model. You have six models. That is ₹24 lakh before you ship a single unit.

You export internet-connected radio equipment to the EU. Your Dutch or German importer has sent you a checklist. A lab in India quotes ₹4–8 lakh per product model and 3–6 months. REDCheck generates the 5 PDF documents for each model. 30 minutes. €99 per product. 100% in your browser.

Three mistakes Indian exporters make about RED cybersecurity

COMMON ERROR

"We already have CE marking — EMC and safety are done"

CE marking for EMC and safety does not cover the cybersecurity requirements of Art. 3(3)(d) and (e). These are SEPARATE obligations activated from 1 August 2025.

COMMON ERROR

"The cost is the same everywhere — ₹4 lakh is the market rate"

₹4–8 lakh is what labs charge for full third-party assessment. REDCheck is a documentation tool at €99 per model. If you fully apply EN 18031, you can self-declare via Module A — no Notified Body required.

COMMON ERROR

"My European importer will handle compliance"

Art. 10(1) and 10(3) place the obligation on the manufacturer. The importer (Art. 12) must VERIFY — but cannot do it for you.
