Amazon suspended your European listings for missing cybersecurity documentation. GPSR was one requirement. Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/30 is another. They are separate obligations under separate EU laws.

You sell earbuds, smartwatches and Bluetooth speakers on Amazon DE, FR, IT and ES under your own brand. Amazon suspends 4 of 7 ASINs overnight. You already went through GPSR. You thought compliance was done. It was not. Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/30 activated cybersecurity requirements under Art. 3(3)(d) and (e) of Directive 2014/53/EU — separate from product safety. Every day without listings costs revenue. REDCheck generates the 5 PDF documents you need to reinstate. 30 minutes per product. €99. Upload to Amazon Seller Central the same day.

What REDCheck does with your product data

You enter your product specifications. REDCheck structures the cybersecurity documentation requirement by requirement, following the EN 18031 categories.

1
Company details
Legal name, role under Directive 2014/53/EU (manufacturer under Art. 14 if you sell under your own brand), country, EU contact.
2
Product classification
Determines which essential requirements apply: Art. 3(3)(d) (network protection) and Art. 3(3)(e) (personal data) based on your product's connectivity and data processing.
3
Cybersecurity assessment
Requirement-by-requirement review mapped to EN 18031-1 and EN 18031-2 categories: access control, authentication, secure communications, software updates, vulnerability management.
4
Risk assessment
Assessment of implementation status for each applicable requirement. Maps your answers to a structured risk table.

Mistakes Amazon sellers make about EU cybersecurity

COMMON ERROR

"I already did GPSR — compliance is done"

GPSR (Regulation (EU) 2023/988) covers general product safety. Directive 2014/53/EU covers radio equipment — electromagnetic compatibility, radio spectrum AND, since Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/30, cybersecurity. They are parallel obligations under separate EU laws. Completing one does not satisfy the other.

COMMON ERROR

"I'm just a seller, not a manufacturer"

Art. 14 of Directive 2014/53/EU: if you place radio equipment on the EU market under your own name or trade mark, you ARE the manufacturer under the Directive. Buying smart plugs from Shenzhen and selling them under your brand on Amazon EU makes you legally the manufacturer. The documentation obligation under Art. 10 is yours.

COMMON ERROR

"My supplier says the factory has CE certification"

CE marking for EMC and electrical safety does not cover cybersecurity. Ask your supplier for specific documentation covering Art. 3(3)(d) and (e) of Directive 2014/53/EU. If they cannot provide it, you — as the party placing the product on the EU market under your brand — must produce it.

Technical documentation and third-party testing: two layers

● LAYER 1

Cybersecurity technical documentation (Annex V)

5 PDF documents. 30 min. €99 per product. The documentation that Art. 21 requires BEFORE your product can bear CE marking.

∅ LAYER 2

Conformity assessment by a Notified Body

If you fully apply EN 18031, you can self-declare via Module A (Annex II) without a Notified Body. If you partially apply or don't apply the harmonised standards, Art. 17(4) requires third-party involvement.

We do not sell testing. We do not sell consulting. We sell the tool that structures your cybersecurity documentation under Art. 21 and Annex V.

What happens without cybersecurity documentation

Art. 46 of Directive 2014/53/EU requires Member States to establish penalties that are effective, proportionate and dissuasive.

Full liability

If you market under your own brand, Art. 14 of Directive 2014/53/EU treats you as the manufacturer. All obligations of Art. 10 apply: technical documentation, conformity assessment, CE marking, post-market surveillance.

What REDCheck guarantees and what it does not

REDCheck generates a document structured under Art. 21 and Annex V of Directive 2014/53/EU based on the information you enter. The truthfulness, accuracy and completeness of that information is your responsibility as manufacturer of the radio equipment.

We guarantee that the document structure follows Art. 21 and Annex V of Directive 2014/53/EU and that the legal references cited are correct as of the latest verification date. We do not guarantee that a specific document will be accepted by a market surveillance authority in a specific case, nor by a commercial buyer in a procurement process.

Frequently asked questions — Amazon EU cybersecurity suspension

Amazon suspended my listing. What exactly do I upload to Seller Central?
Amazon requires the EU Declaration of Conformity as the primary compliance document. REDCheck generates this as document 4 of 5 (under Art. 18 + Annex VI). Upload the DoC to your product listing compliance section in Seller Central. Keep the full 5-document ZIP as your technical file in case Amazon or market surveillance authorities request further documentation.
I sell under my own brand but my supplier has CE marking. Why is Amazon suspending me?
Your supplier's CE marking covers their conformity assessment for EMC and safety. Under Art. 14 of Directive 2014/53/EU, because you place the product on the EU market under your own brand, you are the manufacturer. The cybersecurity documentation obligation is yours, not your supplier's. The CE marking must include your declaration as the manufacturer responsible for cybersecurity compliance.
I already have GPSRCheck documentation. Do I need REDCheck too?
Yes. GPSR (Regulation (EU) 2023/988) and the RED cybersecurity requirements (Directive 2014/53/EU + Delegated Reg. (EU) 2022/30) are separate EU laws with separate obligations. GPSRCheck covers general product safety. REDCheck covers cybersecurity technical documentation. Both are required for WiFi/Bluetooth consumer electronics sold in the EU.
Is it a subscription?
No. One-time payment. Each license includes a 30-day editing window and up to 10 regenerations. The 5 PDF documents you download are yours permanently.
Can I request a refund?
Under Art. 16(m) of Directive (EU) 2011/83 on consumer rights, by activating the license you give express consent to the immediate generation of the digital content, waiving the 14-day right of withdrawal. Refunds are accepted only for reproducible technical failures reported to hello@solidwaretools.com within 14 days of purchase.
What if the regulation changes?
If Directive 2014/53/EU, Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/30 or the EN 18031 standards change during your license validity period, you can regenerate the documents with the updated version of the generator at no additional cost.
⚠️ Important notice: REDCheck is a documentary self-assessment tool, not legal advice or a third-party audit. The document is generated from the data you enter. The accuracy of the data is your responsibility under Art. 10(1) of Directive 2014/53/EU. REDCheck does not replace a conformity assessment by a Notified Body where required under Art. 17(4) of the Directive.
