You are the compliance manager at a US company selling routers, IoT devices or connected equipment in Europe. Your budget is already stretched. Your consultancy in Munich wants an additional €7,000 per model for cybersecurity documentation under Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/30. Your VP wants numbers. Here they are: REDCheck generates the 5 PDF documents required under Art. 21 and Annex V for €99 per product model. 3 models = €297 instead of €21,000. The documents cite the same articles and annexes. The difference is the delivery model — guided self-assessment in your browser instead of a consultant billing hours.
€99 one-time payment · 5 PDF documents in ZIP · 30 minutes · 100% in your browser
There are four ways to document cybersecurity compliance under Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/30. The legal obligation is the same. The cost varies by a factor of 200.
You enter your product specifications. REDCheck structures the cybersecurity documentation requirement by requirement, following the EN 18031 categories.
The documentation obligation is defined by Art. 21 and Annex V. The Annex lists 9 categories of content. REDCheck generates documentation that covers all 9 categories. A consultancy charges more because they bill time, not because the Annex has more requirements for expensive documentation.
Art. 17(3)(a) allows Module A (self-declaration) when harmonised standards are fully applied. A Notified Body is required only under Art. 17(4). For most consumer IoT products fully applying EN 18031, Module A is sufficient. No Notified Body = no €5,000–20,000 assessment fee.
Consultancies and SaaS platforms charge recurring fees. REDCheck is a one-time payment per product model. No subscription. No renewal. The 5 PDFs you download are yours permanently. The manufacturer must retain documentation for 10 years (Art. 10(4)) — your PDFs comply without paying another cent.
5 PDF documents per product model. Each cites the exact article of Directive 2014/53/EU that it covers.
Art. 1, Del. Reg. (EU) 2022/30 + Art. 3(3), Dir. 2014/53/EU.
Art. 21 + Annex V.
Arts. 3(3)(d) and (e).
Art. 18 + Annex VI.
Art. 10(9) + Annex VII.

5 PDF documents. 30 min. €99 per product. The documentation that Art. 21 requires BEFORE your product can bear CE marking.
If you fully apply EN 18031, you can self-declare via Module A (Annex II) without a Notified Body. If you partially apply or don't apply the harmonised standards, Art. 17(4) requires third-party involvement. REDCheck does not replace a Notified Body — it generates the documentation that is a prerequisite for any conformity route.
We do not sell testing. We do not sell consulting. We sell the tool that structures your cybersecurity documentation under Art. 21 and Annex V.
The cost of non-compliance is always higher than the cost of compliance.
Arts. 40(1), 40(4) and 43 of Directive 2014/53/EU. Products withdrawn. Sales prohibited.
Produktsicherheitsgesetz §19-20. Germany is the largest EU market for US electronics.
If EU revenue is 15-20% of total and growing, the cost of losing market access exceeds any compliance budget. €297 for 3 models is not a compliance expense — it's insurance.
