Chinese aluminium has the highest default emission intensity among major EU suppliers: 4.928 tCO₂e/t under Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/2621. You import profiles, sheets or extrusions for construction, packaging or metalwork. CBAM is not an abstract regulation — it is a per-tonne cost that you need to budget for, pass on to clients, or mitigate by getting actual emission data from your supplier. CBAMCheck quantifies the financial exposure, generates 12 professional deliverables, and includes a dashboard that projects your costs through 2032. €299 — not a subscription.

China accounts for 13.1% of aluminium imports into the EU by value (€3,900M). Profiles (CN 7604), sheets (CN 7606), foil (CN 7607) and bars (CN 7604) are the most common Chinese aluminium products entering the EU. Chinese primary aluminium production is heavily coal-powered, giving it the highest emission intensity of any major EU supplier.
Many importers treat CBAM as a future problem. It is not. From 2026, embedded emissions require certificates. The cost increases each year as free allocation phases out (Art. 31). By 2034, you pay 100% of the embedded emissions. CBAMCheck's dashboard projects the exact per-tonne cost through 2032 so you can plan pricing and procurement.
Aluminium is one of the few CBAM sectors where indirect emissions (from electricity consumed during smelting) are counted alongside direct emissions. A tool designed for steel misses this. CBAMCheck applies the full Annex IV calculation methodology for aluminium, including both direct and indirect emissions.
You are a construction company, a metalwork workshop or a packaging manufacturer. You don't have a regulatory affairs team. CBAMCheck does not require regulatory expertise. You enter your CN code, tonnage and supplier information. The tool applies the correct default values, structures the emission calculation, and generates all 12 deliverables in 30 minutes.
Every document cites the specific article of Regulation (EU) 2023/956. Aluminium-specific indirect emissions are covered.
